In the article "Longmont police officer shoots fugitive after he fired gun" by Kirk Mitchell is about an officer who shot and injured a man with active warrants who first shot at the officer. The mans name was Duke and his first arrest was in 2007 on charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He has constantly been running from cops and failing to follow through with his probation. This is important to the world because there are many unstable people like him all around the world. This is important to the education of detectives and police officers because they can figure out new ways to stop these people. This is important to me because there could be a sex offender that lives in my neighborhood that I would have to look out for.

In the article "Snow causing problems in part of Front Range" by Yesena Robles, is about how a massive storm of snow, rain, hail, and tornado warning had casted over the front range.This was a major storm that closed down schools and government buildings. This is important to the world because it shows the dramatic change in the whether patterns in the past couple of years. This is important to the education of meteorologists because they need to study these whether patterns in order to figure out what the changes in temperature, storms, etc. will be for the next couple of days. This is important to me because I live in the region where these odd whether changes occur.

In the article "Cops find SUV linked to hand-grenade bank robbery" by Howard Pankratz, is about how an alleged runaway SUV was found by cops. This SUV was said to be used during a "hand-grenade bank robbery" as a getaway car. This is important to the world because it shows how difficult it can be for cops to identify weather or not something was used for criminal reasons. This is important to the education of the police officers because this information could help find out who the suspect is. This is important to me because I could be a suspect if I had an SUV that looked like the getaway car.

In the article "Fossa named Dorian now calls Denver Zoo home" by Kieran Nicholson, is about a fossa that was recently added to the Denver Zoo. Dorian is allegedly is the first of his kind in Denver. This is important to the world because it shows how one species can quickly begin to populate. This is important to the education of geologists and zoologists because they can study how this species adapt to the new environment. This is important to me because I might have to study this specie someday.

In the article "Reward for Kayleah leads increased to $20,000 as tail grows cold" by Monte Whale, explains how a little girl named Kayleah disappeared one day and there still haven't been any answers to what happened that day so FBI and Police officers have raised the rewards to $20,000. In a previous post called "Posse searches for 12-year-old missing girl" by Kirk Mitchell explains how Kayleah went to a friends birthday party and walked there then ended up missing. This is important to the world because it shows how easy it is for someone to lose a loved at any time. It also shows how difficult it can be to find where the person who was kidnapped went. This is important to the education of the FBI and Police officers because any lead on where she went could be a piece of this confusing puzzle. This is important to me because if I knew anything about what happened to her I could help find her.

In the article "Lynx relocated to Colorado traveled 1,200 miles back to Canada" by Howard Pankratz, explains how a Lynx traveled to Canada and had been fathering two sets of kittens; one set of two and one set of four. This is important to the world because it shows how one species can migrate to different countries on it's own. This is important to geologists because they can study the habits and changes in migration and living techniques. This is important to me because if the migration continues and they decide to come down to Colorado, then it would be likely that I could see one near by.

In the article, "Obama nominates Denver lawyer John Walsh to be U.S. attorney" by Felisa Cardona, explains the decisions of President Obama in his choice of John Walsh to be the U.S attorney. John Walsh has been assistant attorney since 1987 and had just been promoted U.S attorney. This is important to the world because if there is a lawsuit against America and another country then John Walsh will be speaking for the U.S. This is important to education because attorney's can look at what he does and try to improve on it. This is important to me because he will be defending the country that I live in against other countries.
